The Krysti Bingham Cerebral Palsy Foundation

The Krysti Bingham Cerebral Palsy Foundation was founded by Dianne Bingham to help other families and persons who have been presented with special challenges.

Named in honor of Dianne’s daughter, the Foundation is committed to creating home-like, long-term residences that are an alternative to institutional facilities and nursing homes, thus our mission statement;

“The Krysti Bingham Cerebral Palsy Foundation, Inc. is committed to providing assisted independent living housing and services to adults with Cerebral Palsy, helping to avoid unnecessary institutionalization and providing a “Home Life” setting for eligible residents.”

Too often, people in the prime of life have been forced to live in nursing homes, rehabilitation centers and hospitals, or at home with aging parents.

The KBCPF “Hope Houses” are transforming the lifestyles of persons with cerebral palsy from one of social isolation and dependency to one of dignity, shared experiences and community involvement.

By focusing on meeting the mutual needs of the disabled person and the family, KBCPF’s programs astrive to prepare its disabled consumers and families to lead more fulfilling lives by making wise choices and by interacting more effectively with others in the community.

Dreams take flight …. With freedom

The KBCPF is proud to display their new 16 passenger van which is used every weekend by the residents and staff of both homes and can be found providing trips to local attractions and community events,  which is paid for and operated by the foundation. The residents also routinely participate in various volunteer activities such as volunteering at animal shelters and delivering Meals on Wheels. They are well known and liked in their communities; many social connections have been made!
